Chinese patient diagnosed for Corona Virus in Sri Lanka was discharged from Hospital today (19).
Sri Lankan Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi visited her in hospital before she was discharged.
She will be taken directly to the airport from the hospital and sent back home, health authorities announced.
The 43-year-old woman was on holiday in Sri Lanka and the virus was detected just as she was about to leave Sri Lanka on 27th January.
After receiving successful treatment she is now set to leave the hospital after 21 days.
Sri Lankan Health authorities announced on February 1st that the patient had recovered from the virus but kept her in quarantine until today.

“The only case reported in Sri Lanka has responded remarkably to the treatments and has recovered completely, but we have still not discharged her due to some concerns on logistics and taking into account the societal concerns. We will discharge her when the time is right.” Sri Lanka Health DG Anil Jasinghe told NewsWire last week.
Chinese patient had thanked the hospital medical staff, Sri Lanka authorities & Sri Lanka as a country for looking after her during this period.
She had also thanked the Sri Lankan tourism authorities for the support given to her during this difficult time period.
